Game Review: World Series Of Poker

While the graphics are lacking, the actual game play is average. It's easy to follow and as with most games, there are tutorials for beginning players. I have never played poker (successfully) and managed to pick this up very quickly and am now an avid watcher of Poker After Dark on NBC (the people on PAD are the players in WSOP) and play the video game itself fairly frequently. It's easy to get caught up once you get started and hours will pass by if you are not careful!

I enjoy most of the aspects of this game, and you can customize your character to resemble something close to what you look like although I can say that there are not an overwhelming amount of choices so ladies, don't think this is a dress up game. Another aspect of the game is decorating your own game room. As you progress in the game, more items are unlocked so you can decorate it as you wish although the initial decorations (and probably all the decorations) are lacking in visual appeal. It's easy to say that this game was created solely for the card game itself, and while that's not a problem, I think that they should not offer the other features as it does nothing for the actual game and might leave you disappointed. Overall, I'd recommend this game to anyone who appreciates the game of poker from beginner to professional though perhaps playing a real game of poker might be more fun if you're the latter.
