It's a fusion between Harry Potter and Love Hina, combining crazy teenage girls and one unlucky magician,Kazuki Shikamori.
Maburaho is based in Aoi Academ, a school for magicians, where everyone has limited supply of magic, some much less than others. And this is where Kazuki comes in. He can use his magic 8 times before he turns to dust. But what makes him different than the other magicians-in-training? His magic is more powerful than most of their magical abilities combined, leaving his genetics highly desired by his female classmates.
He ends up with a female classmate for a roommate, Yuna Miyama, who decides she's going to be his live-in wife and assumes all of the traditional responsibilites. Add in 2 more jealous girls, Rin and Kuriko, and a chibi ghost,Elizabeth; and you've got yourself one incredibly funny anime.
I watched the entire series in a matter of 2 days because I wanted to know what happened next, and I can say that you'd probably be just as hooked as I was. A lot of surprising plot twists keep the story fresh, and you find yourself swooning a little bit for the underdog, Kazuki, as he uses his magic for very special reasons for each of his newfound friends.
